Twin Petrels is the first seltzer bar to come to Buffalo. Located right on Buffalo’s West side with a view of the Niagara river, the creators of Twin Petrels were inspired by coastal views after a storm when petrels fly over the heavy waves. Twin Petrels offers their very own cans you can bring home, along with cocktails made with signature flavor bases in their flagship location, and kegs of their premium seltzer product to provide to other bars.

Twin Petrels’ seltzers have dynamic flavors with fresh, natural ingredients. While the product is contemporary and innovative, I created a traditional packaging option that fits koozies and cup holders. My goal was to make sure the product was sophisticated, approachable, and friendly. The abstract graphics representing the different flavors, and the color scheme feels earthy and calm.
The client wanted to create a space for people to come together. My goal was to bring the outdoors inside and provide a laid back, comfortable, and inclusive environment. The aesthetic from the seltzer packaging was incorporated into the menu design, icons, and site animations.
